it is about where will you host you e-commerce website: could be your own server, could be shared server, could be a simple hosting like yahoo’s e-store or e-bay’s store.

An “eCommerce hosting solution” would simply be a web host for an ecommerce enabled site. Web hosts are paid each month (prices vary) to store and manage the security of different website owners’ files, content, media or whatever else they wish to store on the hosts server. An ecommerce site is one which accepts payments in return for goods or services over an electronic connection such as the Internet or a mobile phone.
Typically ecommerce sites need to be hosted on a server with an SSL certificate and security measures enabled that ensure the protection of customer and payment data.
There are several ecommerce sites out there that include this type of histing setup or arrangement. You can also find your own host.
