I am in the market for an ecommerce webstore but do not want to pay a designer at this point and instead want to use a template base format. Which web host do you recommend?
i havent found any good web stores that you can get straight off a template. 1 and 1 is a good webhoster and PayPal offers a good payflow gateway, but you do need to do some coding an integration yourself.

Powweb is on a 50% sale – $3.88/month ($46.56/year), and you get a free domain from them.
They include easy, one click install of osCommerce.
From their site:
“osCommerce is an online shop e-commerce solution that offers a wide range of out-of-the-box features that allow online stores to be setup fairly quickly with ease. It is an e-commerce framework solution that not only remains easy to setup and maintain, but also makes it easier for store administrators to present their stores to their customers with their own unique requirements.”

They did a domain transfer for free on a website for me from Yahoo Small Business and it was free and a no hassle job. They did great work!
They also have tools you can integrate into your website like Zen cart, etc. to manage your ecommerce.
P.S. I have some coupons that I can give you if you want to save a little cash when signing up!
If you are having problem choosing a web hosting to use, I suggest you do the following:
1. Go to the webhost review sites such as webhostingjury, hostingsthatsuck, com or webhostinggeeks and list down about 3 common top hosting companies.
2. Next, for each web hosting X, do a “X sucks” search on Google. Read some complaints and see if you may encounter the same problems like them. Some of the complaints may relate to certain groups of users only such as VPS, dedicated server users or resellers. So you may not be affected if you are not from these categories.
3. Eliminate those hostings you feel uncomfortable with, and look for the best bargain hosting for your money.
