Paypal authorization 10K limit?
joshua l asked:
I have an e-commerce site that uses Paypal direct payment API. My inventory is virtual (I source product after the order is placed). For this reason, I wish to only take authorizations of payment, and not actually charge the customer until the item has shipped.
There appears to be a $10,000 limit with this type of authorization through Paypal. Furthermore, it seems we can only authorize for 3 days before having to reauthorize. Can someone confirm or deny those facts, and instruct me on how I may go about processing orders with a higher total.

You probably won’t be able to go over this limit, it has been set by the Feds as a way to prevent and monitor illegal money.
